Why do my muscles twitch one in a while?!

Question: Why do my muscles twitch one in a while?
This happens maybe once or twice per year so it is not like it is all the time. But right now my left shoulder muscle is twitching on it's own. Like the muscle is contracting and letting lose every few seconds. What is the cause and is there something I can do to stop it? I try massaging it but not sure if that helps.

Answers:

Usually it's because of dehydration or sometimes over exhaustion of the muscle.
