I fainted yesterday for no reason. Should I be worried?!

Question: I fainted yesterday for no reason. Should I be worried?
I just passed out for no reason, I'm perfectly healthy and am not ill. What could have caused this? I'm a guy so I assume I'm not as likely to faint as a girl.

I have fainted once before but that was due to an allergic reaction to a bug sting.

Answers:

Hard to tell. Fainting is caused by the brain shutting down for lack of either blood sugar or worse blood flow. Usually it happens because blood pools in lower body, reducing blood pressure.

Your age, what drugs you may be taking, what you were doing at time of the faint, had you possibly been fasting? On the more serious side, this could be a signal of a heart valve issue.

I'd get it checked out by a doc.

This used to happen to me alot too,its usaually when i stretch and my brain doesnt have oxygen so i start seein black and i faint, but i would go see a doctor about

well.....can be orthostaic hypotension,ie,sudden drop in pressure.............can be electical mishap in heart......or sudden drop in glucose..or slight seizure........regardless,tests are needed to see.............asap..............
