Why would my dad do this?!

I'm 17, and I share a room with my 18, 19 and 21 year old brothers at home. The four of us always sleep naked, and we've kinda done so since we were about 15 or something. And it's not even weird for us to see each other naked. It just really is more comfortable to sleep without clothes.
You should give it a try, although I think it's kinda weird that your dad would force you to sleep nude by taking your clothes.

Your dad is just trying to help you. Most guys do sleep naked or some in boxers. Your dad is helping you grow out of the kid pajamas and become more "manly" .. Personally I see nothing wrong with wearing pajamas, but that's your fathers reasoning, and I would just go along with it. He's trying to do what is in your best interest..

Your dad just wants you to behave 'more manly'. It is uncommon for males to sleep in pajamas in high school and even less in college. Males who wear pajamas in college are ridiculed. It is looked at and judged as feminine by the majority of men.

I don't wear pajamas when I sleep. I grabb a tshirt and wear boxers. Pajamas are more of lounging around or when I'm lazy pants. But I guess that's how your parents are. But when the conversation is brought up at school I'm 14 most guys sleep with boxers and no shirt.

honestly, most guys sleep with something on. i don't and haven't since i pretty much was dressing myself. i had no father and no brothers. it was just a decision i made for myself. sounds like ur father just thinks he's guiding u towards being a man. or he can't afford to keep buying you that stuff. have you talked to your brother since it happened to him too?

your father is being controlling, if u want to wear pajamas tell him and do it. but to me it would not really be that big of a deal, so if it doesnt bother u then let it go. and i usually do sleep naked.

Do what your comfortable with. I don't like sleeping naked cause my goods just flop everywhere. So just do what your comfortable with. Ask your brother if your dad did the same thing to him.

I disagree with the above post that pyjamas (Australian spelling) aren't manly. I think they are fine.

I think it's weird that your father wouldn't talk to you about the issue rather than secretly suddenlyu taking your pjs away. I know a lot of people (guys and girls) who don't like sleeping naked in case they have to jump up in the night unexpectedly.

I mean if you are wearing pyjamas with little fire trucks or puppy dogs on them I guess they could be considered childish but otherwise I think it's fine.

I feel more comfortable and snug at night with something on.

Maybe talk to your dad or brother more about it and explain that you are confused.
