Ringing in RIght Ear?!

Question: Ringing in RIght Ear?
When i put earplugs in I can hear a slight ringing frequency in my right ear.
Thought this was from hearing damage from shooting a rifle 7 months ago.

Went to the ENT doctor. Passed all hearing Tests, hearing is normal, no fluid or buildup.
Also, all the hairs are OK and they're not damaged. No wax, etc....

So why does my ear ring?

Answers:

Definitely Tinnites. I have suffered from it in both ears for years. You can have Tinnitus without any noticeable hearing loss but in my case I have both and now wear a hearing aid. It was caused by years of working on jet engines.

Take my advice and please wear ear protection whenever you are in a noisy environment - you don't appreciate how valuable your hearing is until you lose it.

My experience.

What the previous poster said. It could go away as you age or just stay with you. In that case, you'll get use to it over time. Don't think or obsess about it or it will drive you crazy. My husband and his father have it and they don't notice it until they're in a quiet room.
