Does propecia work for men who have bald spots going further down the head?!

Question: Does propecia work for men who have bald spots going further down the head?
I mean in the frontal area and working its way in the back but not on the sides of the hair, I'm just curious on it?

Answers:

I personally found Propecia of very limited effect and if it were not for the fact that is a prescription medication covered by my medical I would not have used it.

It has some effect on the crown, not in the frontal region. The best result I got in the frontal areas was peach fuzz [as on a peach]. Tiny white hairs that were almost invisible didn't cut it for me.

Another consideration and perhaps a more important consideration for men are the side effects of Propecia for some men. Finasteride (Proscar/Propecia) has been shown to increase estrogen levels resulting in increased breast tissue - a condition known as Gynecomastia. This is not a problem in all men [it wasn't for me] but the possibility should not be discounted.
