Why would any man want to earn a decent living. It is a specialty that if you are obstetrician-gynecologist you can pretty much write your own ticket. Women will always have babies, they will always have areas of concern with their genitals. It requires many more years of studying and dedication to be good at it (both for women and men doctors)
It is like asking why would a guy want to become a dentist and or a vet, or a psychiatrist. To some it is a true calling, a vocation something they believe in and that is what, hopefully, makes them great at what they do.
A mature person can separate the professional from the personal aspects of the job they do. Imagine a cop treating everyone in their family as a suspect asking questions ad nauseum?

i always find this a strange thing myself, because if men are attracted to women, why would they wanna check womens private parts and then go home to their girlfriends or wives, surely they'll get bored of seeing it.
Maybe men just want to be dorctors, train up and then realise that they're intrested in the female body. it's abit of a hard question. I'm sure a gynecologist would answer it really well, but from a normal persons point of view it is weird, but if you ever need to go see one, then you gotta remember that it's just a job role and that he's not gonna be 'Loving' the view haha :)
What kind of a stupid question is that? Gynecologists are doctors. There is nothing wrong with it or shameful about it.
It's just a type of doctor.
