Well, results may vary, VERY MUCH...
Despite it being approved by the FDA, results can take months, even years to show, and they disappear as soon as you stop using the drug...yes, it is a drug, which means side effects have been reported, including incompetence. You might need to spend thousands of dollars in order to have a chance at better looking hair.
As you can see, I am against using Propecia, but that's just me.
I prefer the natural approach, which is far cheaper, and in my personal view, more dependable, as it relies on life style changes, which will improve other aspects in your life. For instance, stress, diet & exercise are only some of the factors which may contribute to male hair loss.
There are various methods of treatment, such as laser hair growth, Biotin hair growth, hair growth oils etc.... The list goes on.
I would read up on articles on the matter, give yourself options. Propecia isn't going anywhere, only your hair is (sorry, bad joke).
Try this website out, it has lots of articles on hair loss and what I discussed above. http://www.ehairgrowthremedies.com/
