Answers:

Since you are only 5 weeks post circumcision it is quite usual for the glans to still be sensitive, especially if you had not been retracting your foreskin and washing under it at least twice daily since puberty. It will take around 8 weeks for the sensitivity to settle down.

You don't say why you had the circumcision. If it was because of infection under the foreskin then allow at least another 2 weeks on top of the 8 mentioned above.

Unfortunately some men never lose that hyper sensitivity and the glans bugs them forever. After 5 weeks it still should not be sore to touch. Give it some more time but like I said, some men just never lose that. The glans was never meant to be an exposed organ so the body doesn't necessarily have a way to "fix" something that was never supposed to happen.
After 5 weeks it should be mostly gone though. Make sure you aren't babying it and you still wear underwear, and normal pants etc.

What sort of help do you need? I mean you already said you know it can be sore for a month or two. It's been one and a half months.

Also, some circumcised men suffer permanent chronic pain after circumcision. Surely your doctor went through all this with you before you were cut.

When you get your foreskin removed (which is half your penile skin, along with mucous membrane, muscles and thousands of nerve endings), it's not a minor operation - it's going to feel sore. Heck, if you think this is bad, just wait until you start trying to use it, LOL.

Okay. You knew that going in.

Call the doctor that did it instead of asking total strangers.
