Maltitol Side Effects

Maltitol Side Effectsdipity.com; peoplespharmacy.comUsing low-carbohydrate diets to lose weight finds dieters eating and drinking sugar substitutes. Among artificial sweeteners are sugar alcohol compounds. They are called sugar alcohol because they have chemical structures resembling these two specific amalgams. Popular commercial use of one of these substitutes, called maltitol, sweetens hard candies labeled "sugar free," diet bars, and commercial sugar substitute packets for sweetening beverages. Consuming maltitol-based products may result in unwanted and surprising side effects. Understanding what maltitol can do may make the user approach with caution.
