There is skin stuck to my Glans, Help!?!

Question: There is skin stuck to my Glans, Help!?
This makes me unable to pull my foreskin back, is there a way to fix this? I have done some research and i know that its suppose to protect my penis from poo and such while im a baby, but its suppose to detach as you grow up. Well i'm 16 years old now and it still hasn't detached! It's luckily not a problem cleaning my penis though, as i can pull it down when im not "hard". But it does look kinda unnatural and i'm also wondering if this is making me feel less while sex, i mean, i can last for like 15 minutes - no problem! I guess that's a good thing for both me and her though.

Soo.. Is there any way to remove/detach that little patch of skin without surgery? I havr been wondering if i should just cut it myself buuuut i a knife isnt coming near my junk :P

Answers:

You can ignore the respondent who claims the foreskin will not stretch after 16 years of age. I know that is a lie.
This particular respondent promotes circumcision for some unknown reasons. It most cases, when people do this,...it is to help validate their own sorry state,.....as well as through ignorance of the real damage circumcision does.
You are already smart enough to know that no one should go near your junk with a knife.
Since you know about synechia and the roll it plays in keeping you clean and healthy,....lets work on some solutions to the problem.
Pinch off the end of the foreskin while urinating in the shower, or outside. (this is messy) Let the urine balloon out the foreskin and hold it as long as you can. There are several benefits to this. It will lift the entire foreskin off the glans, it will provide a good overall stretch, it will break up the last remnants of synechia, and it also gives a natural, cleansing flush under the foreskin. Urine is sterile,....so don't think this is gross.
The next thing you can do for this is to grip the tip of the foreskin and stretch it outward, away from the body. This is also a good stretch to help break up the last bits of connective tissue, before you begin the retraction stretches.
You say you can retract when you are not erect. That is a great start. There is nothing wrong with you. You have a naturally tight foreskin, just like every other intact (not circumcised) man on the planet had at your age. Over 85% of the males on earth are intact so you are on the winning side. The other 15% wish they still were intact.
I have posted some links to some stretches you can do in the privacy of the daily shower. Let the warm water loosen and relax the skin before stretching. Stretches are to be firm, but gentle, with no pain. Pain is a damage indicator.
Over stretching till it hurts can create micro tears in the skin opening that will heal over with non elastic scar tissue, making retraction more difficult. No pain,....ever!!
If you can retract fully when flaccid, you should perform these stretches while erect.
There is information in the link from Father Magazine about what to do if the foreskin becomes trapped behind the coronal ridge of the glans while erect. It can be uncomfortable, so read up on it and know what to do before it happens.
With the great progress you have made so far, you will see some good results in two weeks, with full and painless retraction in 2-3 months. If it takes longer, keep stretching.
What happens is the Frenar Band (google it) of muscle that closes down the skin opening will relax and expand enough to allow the foreskin to glide effortlessly back and forth over the coronal ridge.
Let me assure you the foreskin does stretch well past the age of 16.
I have been restoring my foreskin for four years, using skin tensioning and stretching methods that have given me great results. I am 56! So that tells you how credible that respondents information is.
Go to: www.norm.org and read about the reason and function of the foreskin. You will see how very fortunate you are to still have yours, and how misguided are those who promote circumcision for any reason.
Good luck with this

This is the sort of problem that can absolutely ruin your sex life and your self-esteem if it isn't resolved.

See your regular doctor and tell him your problem. If I read your question rightly you may have an unresolved synechial adhesion. At birth the glans and inner foreskin are linked together by thin strands of fibre called synechia. Normally these break down of their own accord some time between birth and 7 years old, with an average age of 5.

So, by 8 years old you should be able to fully, freely and painlessly retract your foreskin. Parents ought to ensure that their sons can do this as they need to wash under the foreskin daily.

In a tiny number of cases the synechia fail to all break down and some adhesions remain. These can easily be broken by a doctor using a blunt probe. Normally this condition is detected and cured in early childhood, but the synechia can be broken by the doctor at any age. This is not technically surgery.

If I've not fully understood your problem then it could be that you are referring to the frenulum - a band of tissue on the under side of the penis that links the back of the glans to the inner foreskin. This is sometimes called the 'banjo string'.

A short or tight frenulum prevents you fully retracting your foreskin, particularly on the underside and especially when erect. The foreskin will come back to expose the glans (head) but go no further back along the shaft.

The foreskin cannot be stretched and, since you are now 16, will not grow any longer. A tight frenulum can become very irritated during masturbation and can tear during sex with painful, very bloody and highly embarrassing consequences.

The only cure for a short/tight frenulum is minor surgery, which can be done easily under local anaesthetic in the doctor's office. He can carefully divide or remove the offending frenulum, thus dramatically improving your sex life. This procedure is called a frenulectomy or frenuloplasty.

If you can pull your foreskin back when its flaccid but not hard this makes me think youre talking about having a slightly tight frenulum which isnt a problem and you just need to stretch it a bit. Otherwise you may have had your foreskin forcibly retracted when younger which caused an injury which fused the foreskin to the glans during the healing process. I think the latter will need surgery but you should let a doctor look at it and not cut yourself there will be a ridiculous amount of blood not to mention pain if you do it yourself and the last thing you want is an infection down there. It may also be possible to simply stretch the skin so that it isnt uncomfortable retracting the foreskin when erect, the only problem here is aesthetics. If you do need surgery it should be a simple cut to separate the attached skin nothing major like a full circumcision

@Cirkdone - Why are you saying "the foreskin cannot be stretched"? Please stop talking rubbish about a subject you know nothing, such terrible advice. All skin on the body can be stretched a large amount, have you seen how much the skin will stretch on an obese person? Saying skin cannot be stretched is ridiculous. I stretched my own foreskin and I'm very glad I took the time to do it rather than have unnecessary genital surgery which you are recommending. Also "by 8 years old you should be able to retract the foreskin" Such nonsense you dont know what youre talking about at all.

There is an answer to adhesions or skin bridges.
The foreskin is attached to the penis shaft at the very botton by what is called the frenulum. But if sections of the inner foreskin is sticking to the glans, head, at other areas, they are called adhesions or skin bridges. When doctors try to cut the adhesions to separate the skins, that of the glans and that of the foreskin they can really botch up the job by scarring badly the head.
Sometimes you can separate the two skins just by tugging, but if it is sensitive, that is too difficult. Oils, baby oil or olive oil, can help if the glans is very sensitive.
Now here is the best way to separate it: About 4 or 5 times a day, put saliva (spit) on the area, and pull back on the foreskin sort of trying to pull it apart, but not enough to hurt it. Two reasons why your saliva is effective: First, it contains enzymes that disolve the adherent that is holding the skins together. Second, your saliva is alkaline while your penis end and urine is acidic. And an alkaline environment will allow the skins to separate. It may take a few days to separate, but it is worth it.
