Need some help/advice with a womanly problem.................?!

Question: Need some help/advice with a womanly problem.................?
So, for spring break my guy friend and I (hes just a friend, almost like a brother to me) are taking a road trip to visit a friend who lives about 16 hours away. We're 21 and 22. We're splitting the driving into two days and will be spending the night in the middle of the trip....so we just called and reserved a room and all they had was a one bed room, which is fine, we've slept in the same room and bed together before, no problem, except for I will be on my period that week.

I have a really heavy flow and no matter what I do, I always leak at night...I've tried jumbo overnight pads, sleeping in tampons (even if they're not full, they always leak for some reason when I wear them at night, but they're fine during the day), but no matter what I do, I always seem to leak. Anyone have any ideas what I can do to make sure I don't leak, at least for that one night? I know periods aren't a big deal and he's not super grossed out by talking about them a tiny bit, but I feel like it would be a whole different story if he woke up to a huge blood stain in the bed :(

Girls- any adivce on what I can do to keep from leaking?
Guys- would you be absolutely disgusted or slightly grossed out, but understanding? Thanks!

Answers:

If he's really that good of a friend he would understand. I know I would at least if I were in that situation

If he's a gentleman then he will be understanding, but I really don't see a point in even bringing it up to him. As far as what you could do to keep from leaking, a bit out of my domain but possibly an adult disposable diaper? Not trying to be funny, but it seems like it would work.

well mens health may have not been the best place to throw this q into, try like singles and dating cuz theres a ton of people answering on that area. but personally as long as the blood doesnt get on me or you apologize about it id be fine. but i may tell the bros about it

ummmm you posted this in "men's health"

You should mention it, so he's not awkward and freaked out in the morning. Put a towel down maybe? Wear a pad and a tampon? I'm not sure. But I think you should say something.

I wouldn't be grossed out because I know you can't help it

turn into humor,.....wake up in shock and say "what the hell did you do to me?"
