Important travel health question, best answer gets 5 stars...?!

Question: Important travel health question, best answer gets 5 stars...?
I want to maybe one day go to Egypt if it becomes democratic in August. I heard there are 4 major diseases in Egypt: Hepatitis A, Typhoid Fever, Rift Valley Fever, and Schistosomiasis. I have 3 questions. 1. How would i avoid each of these diseases?
2. Is there cures for these diseases?
3. Do all of these diseases have immunity shots to help prevent them?
Thanks!:)

Answers:

You can avoid these diseases by washing your hands, not sharing any needles, and taking all safety precautions your doctor would suggest.
There are cures for some of the dieases. There are many types of Hepatitis, Some can be cured, some cannot. It can only be caught from needles I thought.
You should be able to go to your doctor before you go, and tell him exactly what this post says. You should be able to get a few shots/immunity shots for these.
The best way to prevent hepatitis A is to get vaccinated. The vaccine is effective and can keep you from ever getting hepatitis A. The typhoid fever and rift valley fever are bacterial, and can be cured. Sanitation with these two are the key. Now, for Schistomoiasis is scary because it can be from skin to certain water contact. This is curable too, usually with the drug praziquantel taken for 1-2 days. Hope this helps!
