push up help?...................................…!

Question: Push up help?.........................…

Answers:

If you do more pushups in a set, you will get more toned and defined. Shoot for 30-40 pushups in a set, but you might have to start at 10.

If you want to build muscle, put a backpack on with weights in it (like milk jugs full of water, 1 gallon=9 lbs) and do fewer pushups, like 10.

I do pushups in the morning to help me wake up for work.

Start off with a small amount in mind. Like 5 push-ups. If after 5 you feel that it was easy then add some more.Pushing pass your maximum amount by one or two will give you the strength training you want.

I use a rower for exercise. There are two rows that are on my DVD, a six minute row and a 24 minute row. I started with the six minute row and was not able to finish the six minutes first off. But gradually increasing my effort, I was able to do the six minutes. When I was able to do the 6 minute row with ease, I moved on to the 24 minute gradually adding time until I reached the 24 minutes. In time I hope to add a second 24 minute row to my day.
Doing it gradually and watching your diet will yield good results. In other words YOU have to determine what is a good amount of exercise for you.

Good luck

I started out with 5 sets of about 30(that's what I could do) you can do less if u want. So 5 sets with about 2-3 min rest(for beginner) so gradually increase the amount of push ups. Now 2 months later I'm hitting 130 pushups non stop.

Personal experience

First do as many as you can. Stop 30 second break. do it again as many as you can. stop and do it as many as you can. Until you reach 10. Stop rest one day ...next day do it again.

just keep doing it until you can't. Push yourself to the limit. Take small breaks between sets of push ups, and do different styles.

There is no such limits, do as much as you can. But do till you can't do one more repetition.
