I need some help regarding constipation..?!

Question: I need some help regarding constipation..?
Hi, I'm suffering from a weird case of what I think is constipation. I haven't been to the toilet now for five days and I have eaten a fair bit of food, I feel fine and I normally go every other day so 5 days is by no means normal for me. I've tried going countless amounts of times but have been unable to go or shift anything that's up there.

Today I have taken action by inserting a suppository into the rectal but it was unsuccessful, however I don't think I inserted it properly because it was my first time in doing so, which made me a little nervous about doing it. I believe the bottom of the suppository was still visible so this could have been the reason behind it being unsuccessful..

I'm 18 years old, slim, generally quite fit (Attend football training twice a week plus a lot of walking) and have a inconsistent diet as im currently at college and have a lot of free time so me and my friends regularly stop by at places like KFC, McDonalds, a few bars for pub food etc. But my general diet at home is well structured and healthy starting my day with wheatabix or corn flakes and have a few glasses of water a day..

Well that's some information about my problem and my current diet so if you have any ideas to what I may be suffering I will be very grateful.

(I am looking for information purely on what I may be suffering and how I can prevent or cure what I am suffering)

You can try another Glycerin suppository, but make sure that it is inserted as deep into the rectum as possible. You can use a plastic bag as a glove if you like. The thing to know about suppositories is is there is no stool low down the suppository isn't going to be effective. I would try 4 things right now.
1) Try another Glycerin suppository inserted as I described.
2) Drink some prune juice or you can try some Mag Citrate (you can get this at walmart cheap)
3) go for a walk or jog after the suppository has worked or you have expelled it from the rectum. (you don't want to be away from a toilet if it starts working)
4) Drink plenty of water on a daily basis to help keep the stools moist

You will also need to start to increase your fiber intake if you are prone to constipation.
Good luck

Go to the drug store and get a good stool softener AND laxative. You don't need to doing the crack pot suppositories that don't work.
Also drink tons of water and make sure you are getting enough fiber in your diet.

try stool softeners and buy a box of grape nut cereal and eat a big bowl of it if those two things don't work you should seek medical help.

Maybe it's because of what you eat or trouble digesting? Talk to your doctor and see what's going on.
