Answers:

Making a few lifestyle adjustments can help.
No smoking - no beer/ale - no booze - no drugs. ANY of these can interrupt blood flow to your penis resulting in diminished libido & can cause erectile dysfunction or impotence.
Stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, crappy diet, lack of exercise & some medications can also cause malfunction at the junction.
The best way to increase testosterone is by exercising.

Improve Sexual Virility - (For Guys)

Many men suffer from a low sex drive, sexual performance problems, and an overall lack of male virility. These problems can negatively impact a man's self-esteem, sense of self-worth, and the quality of his romantic relationships. However, problems with male virility and sexual functioning can be, in most cases, remedied. What follows is a list of lifestyle, health, and dietary factors that promote strong male virility and improved sexual function and performance.

Step 1 - GET ADEQUATE SLEEP

Your body needs adequate amounts of sleep in order to maximize sexual performance and sexual virility. A lack of sleep is a major cause of low sex drive and/or sexual problems. Strive to get at least 7-9 hours of sleep each night to increase and maintain sexual virility. Take afternoon rests or naps when possible.

Step 2 - DE-STRESS REGULARLY

Chronic stress is toxic to the body and can negatively impact sexual virility and sexual function. Strive to keep stress levels as low as possible in order to maximize not only your health and well-being, but to increase your sexual virility and sex drive. Meditate on a regular basis; do yoga moves in addition to deep breathing exercises to help unwind and de-stress.

Step 3 - EXERCISE REGULARLY

In addition to improving mental and physical health, regular exercise promotes healthy sexual function and helps to improve sexual virility. Aim to exercise at least 4-5 times per week, incorporating moderate cardiovascular exercise in addition to strength training. Regular exercise promotes healthy blood circulation and increases testosterone and growth hormone levels, all of which promote increased sexual virility and sexual function.

Step 4 - ELIMINATE JUNK FOOD

Eating a healthy diet promotes physical and emotional health as well as healthy sexual function and virility. A poor diet, one lacking in adequate nutrients and antioxidants, can result in a low sex drive and sexual performance problems, including impotence. Eat a diet heavy in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean cuts of meat and fish, and low-fat dairy to increase sexual virility and improve sexual function.

Step 5 - ADD GARLIC TO YOUR DIET

Garlic is rich in allicin, which can improve blood flow to the sexual organs, which in turn promotes healthy sexual function and strong, hard erections. Cut up some garlic and sprinkle it on your favorite foods. Or take a garlic supplement. Garlic is a sexual super food that can increase your sexual virility.

Step 6 - ADD AVOCADO TO YOUR DIET

Avocados are rich in folic acid and high in vitamin B6, both of which help to regulate sexual hormone function, which in turn helps to optimize sexual health and sexual virility. Add some avocado slices to your salad or on your sandwich.

Step 7 - EAT A BANANA DAILY

Bananas are another sexual super food that can help improve sexual function and increase sexual virility. Bananas are high in bromelain and b vitamins, both of which are potent sexual hormone regulators that can help improve sexual function, sexual desire, and sexual virility. Add a banana to your daily diet.

Well that depends on your doctor. I would be shocked to find that your doctor would prescribe you booster shoots if you didn't have low T. Hormone therapy can be dangerous if your hormones exceed what's concidered a normal level. However there are special cases for it. You don't mention what your T level was but if it was around 400, that's concidered normal but it's low enough where they can probably give you a low petency androl gel or other low T treatment.

There are also other medical conditions with those symptoms too, like thyroid problems or low blood sugar problems. So if you still want to seek treatment have your doctor run some other tests to rule out other causes and then talk to him about possible hormone therapy.

If your testosterone level is within the normal range, which is usually around 300ng/dl to 900 ng/dl, taking endogenous testosterone won't have much affect on you in so far as those symptoms you mentioned. However if it is slightly below or very close to the low range then taking a prescription of testosterone will help those symptoms. The way it works is your body has a finite number of androgen receptors and it takes a certain number of testosterone molecules to enter those receptors to induce the required actions and any excess androgen's floating around in your blood stream will be unused & eliminated by normal metabolic pathways. If you are able to get a prescription then you could try it and it certainly won't hurt anything in the short run. I've taken testosterone for over 12 years but I have to stay on it since my testicles quit working on all three shifts. lol BTW my testosterone level was down to 260ng/dl when I started on TRT and it made me feel like I was 20 y/o again.

Connor makes a good point when he says you did not mention what your testosterone levels were. I had the same problems for a while and had fairly low testosterone but was still in the 'normal' range. What you want is to be in the "optimal' range.

TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) is a bit risky however, and I'll explain why and also offer some safer alternatives. Now it sounds like this is a new issue you are experiencing, this is VERY common (more than what is currently reported, i bet a lot of your male friends are experiencing this same issue) so don't panic.

Your testicles produce a large amount of the testosterone in your body, but when you introduce the synthetic version of it into your bloodstream (the stuff the doctor will give you), your testicles will say "look at that! there's too much testosterone in the bloodstream, so better stop producing testosterone!"

So basically, your testes will stop working and start shrinking, this is known as testicular atrophy. Just like a muscle that isn't used for a long time will begin to shrink. There's no guarantee they bounce back either, it depends on the person, lifestyle, etc.

Now it's a good idea to look at conventional methods to help correct this issue. First off, stop viewing pornography. The over abundance of stimulus is probably making it harder for you to become aroused, kind of like if you eat the same favorite food every day, it becomes less satisfying each and every time (it compounds). That's number 1.

Number 2, start jogging a few times a week for 30-40 minutes, and start weight lifting. When your body detects physical activity, it will produce more testosterone since that is a vital hormone when it comes to muscle repair/maintenance. Also, try to make sure you are eating healthy. Simple method: drink water and milk mostly, drink very moderate amounts of alcohol (alcohol acts as a blood thinner), and try to avoid stress. When you are very stressed, your body produces high levels of cortisol and can seriously impact your ability to maintain/obtain an erection. I've observed months where I wasn't too stressed and was pretty happy, and I was getting spontaneous erections left, right, and center.

Your hormones will change like the seasons. Some months you will be sexually hungry non stop and some, you will be largely uninterested. The media has caused some problems by making men think they should be sex craved addicts. Women go through the same thing, but society is more 'accepting' of that (depending on who you talk to). so just keep that in mind.

This can be very frustrating, so I know what you are going through. If you'd like to talk more about this in a private conversation, please feel free to message me.
