Question: Red scar on penis...very self conscious- plz advice?

A couple months ago i was rubbing myself through my pants and i got a pretty bad wound and it scabbed over now the skin is smooth but its all red and scarred. Should i see a derm? has anyone had this problem? I read Vitamin E will help scars heal. if anyone has positive advice it would be much appreciated!

Apply Vitamin E Oil daily to the affected area to moisturize the skin & promote healing. It is NOT an overnite miracle treatment - but - over time - it does make scars fade.

A scar is semi permanent. You can use stuff like mederma to fldecrease the size and you can also have it surgically removed or decrease the size. But it's in a place that would be very painful if you had surgery. I'm actually kind of curious as to see what it looks like. If you don't mind, can I see?

A silicon dressing will help but not sure how you will keep it in place
