Do I need to go to the gym if I am playing all this sport?!


Question: Do I need to go to the gym if I am playing all this sport?
Hi, I'm a 16 year old guy and I play basketball (2 times a week), Rugby (2 Times a week) and swimming (2 times a week).

My question is should I be going to the gym? I could drop either swimming or rugby if it would mean a better body for me. Also can rugby stunt your growth because of the tackles etc?

I've never heard of anyone having stunted growth from Rugby, over doing it with muscle development preteen sure, but not from a sport and definitely not at 16.
As for sports 6 days a week, unless you're doing it to be professional sport/body builder, or to join military or police, I'd say you're doing enough to be healthy and fit.

Years of martial art, sports, gym and rough physical activities experience.



Dunno = does anyone ever need to go to the gym.

Guys go there so's they can pose around in front of other guys
showing off their pretty pumped up "muscles"
and pretend they're still straight. LOL

The swimming would give you better body.

I wrestled, went to the gym and swam in HS. i dont recommend it. I ended up doing wrestled and weight-training, it helps me keep up with my schoolwork and improved my wrestling too.
