Answers:

You may want to be evaluated by a doctor, if only to rule out gynecomastia.(actual growth of breast tissue in males) Also at the same time you should have your heart checked. It is most likely a combination of fat and lack of muscle tone. LIfting heavy weights will not correct this condition. First: take a good look at yourself. How is your waistline? Do you have chubby cheeks, big belly? Love handles? Usually those go along with pectorals that "juggle" when you wear a shirt. Take a good look at your nutrition. In order to reach your goal you are going to have to reduce the percentage of fat overall on your body. This means eating less food and drinks that contain fat and sugar and eliminating fried foods. Eat lean meats. Eat more vegetables and fruits, drink more water, skim milk and fruit juices. Not the so-called juice drinks you see on the supermarket shelf. Those are mostly colored sugar water with about 5% juice. Increase your fiber intake with cereals like spoon sized shredded wheat for breakfast with fruit on it. Have a very light snack for lunch. Have a relatively normal dinner, just watch the fat content and MOST IMPORTANT. the portion size you put on your plate, and no seconds. Stop BEFORE you feel full. The stretch receptors in your stomach signal your brain when it is full. By the time it sends that message and it is processed, you have already eaten too much. You have to consume less calories than your body burns each day.
Then the exercise part: Aerobics at first. This means walking, jogging, running. Do what you are physically able to do. Walk as far as you feel comfortable the first few days. Each day increase the distance by 50 ft. After you can comfortably walk a distance of 5 miles, convert to jogging. Again start slow and see if you can do one mile. Intermittently walk and jog for the 5 miles. Later when you can jog the full 5 miles, start to run intermittently. At this point you are ready to target those pectoral muscles. Push-ups: Hands slightly greater than shoulder width apart. Do them until exhaustion then take a few deep breaths and do one more. Incline bench press: Incline the bench about 35 to 45 degrees. Use light weights. Find a weight that you can press 50 times. Usually around 70 to 80 lbs. Chest flys. Laying down on your back on the bench, grasp a light dumbbell in each hand. Start with the weights directly overhead (so that you are looking right at them)with arms straight lower the weights slowly out to each side so they are just past the point of being level with the bench. Do about 50 reps. Again, light weights. Just heavy enough so you can do those 50 reps. You can do these exercises by them self or part of a total workout routine. If you are dedicated and stick to it, you should begin to see results in about a month. Good luck.
