Also how often should I do curls...(I heard you have to give your muscles time to re-cooperate, otherwise you wont get as big)

You can do all sorts of shoulders (if you are that strong), lateral, rear and shoulder presses. One armed dumbell row. hammer curls, reverse curls, concentration curls...all this in a chair or on a chair!
