My gf asked me to be there when she has our child?!

Question:

My gf asked me to be there when she has our child?

what should i expect and wat can i do to help her

Answers:

IF she goes through regular labor and child birth---it will go something like this-----YOU will be in a cap, gown and scruffies (clothlike booties for over your shoes)... and a mask.... you'll go into the delivery room where your GF will be laying on a bed and when ready to begin pushing she will put her feet up in what looks like (and are called ) stirrups and the doctor will sit in between her spread out legs where he can easily coax the baby out.... Your girlfriend might scream a bit, grap your hand and squeeze it VERY HARD, may sweat a LOT, may even call you a few swear words because labor is kind of like tossing a CEMENT BLOCK on your stomach from about 6 ft up about 50 times... in other words--it HURTS LIKE HELL... as the baby begins to "show", the doctor might call you down to watch the birth and cut the cord--the umbilical cord that connect the baby to the mother... then, the nurses take the baby and clean it up and then give it to your gf to hold for the first time...... when it's all over, all the screaming, swearing, sweating and general BITCHING are all worth it when you sit there holding that beautiful new baby in your arms for the first time. Now, if it should be a C-section or surgical birth, you will still be allowed IN the room, but probably will NOT see anything until after the baby is born----you probably will still be allowed to cut the cord but your gf will be rather numb from the waste down and not feel any labor or the birth or the incision they will make in her stomach to remove the baby.... oh and there WILL be blood either way, but when you see it--DO NOT THINK OF IT AS BLOOD--think of it as YOUR CHILD BEING BORN!!!!!
