Is weight lifting bad for a 13 yr old???

I turned 13 on may 2nd and im wondering if i could do weightlifting becauz some ppl say it makes u shorter..


Answers:

Lifting HEAVY weights WILL stunt your growth. Lifting light weights but more reps will make your muscles stronger, and seeing as they are light, will make no different to your height. Consult a doctor for professional advise. I waited till I was 14 before weights.. Then just found how boring it was and got all my muscles from swimming (2km every other day) Good luck.
