I wonder if vasectomies are reversible?

Yes, they are. However, the longer you go between having one and the reversal lowers the chances of success. Having had one I can honestly say that you need to make sure it's what you want, because the pain for the next couple of days is quite interesting. Also, make certain you don't want kids later in life. I haven't regretted mine, but I know a lot of guys who HAVE regretted theirs.
