The penis goes into the vagina. If you are laying on your back it's the top hole, not the anus. Some pain is to be expected during the first few times that you have intercourse. Try to relax and not tense up your muscles down there. Maybe try to loosen up by having your boyfriend use his fingers first or something.
If the pain is really intense it is possible that you have another problem. Vaginismus is something that came to mind. It is the involuntary spasm of the muscles surrounding the vagina making penetration very painful and nearly impossible if not completely impossible. It is rare and I'm no expert so you should peobably see a gyno. If you are sexually active or wanting to be you should be seen anyways, it's important.
