What makes a man hard?

Is it something as simple as seeing a pretty girl... or hugging a girl [the closeness may make them feel ya know...], etc.?

Besides sex!! Please don't report me - I am just curious.

I'm calling the cops (lol). But all jokes aside, men can get a woody if something rubs against them, like an object (doesn't have to be a live thing). We also get hard ons a lot of times when we wake up in the morning. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I know as soon as I take a whiz it's back to normal. I hope that answers your question.
