Excercising ? how many days ?!


Question:

Excercising ? how many days ?

i follow a routine . i jogg almost everyday , do ab excercises and a lot of push ups and sit ups . is it true that we need to give a break for a couple of days for the muscles to grow ??

wont i gain weight since the calories i take in that day is not burnt .


Answers:

Depends on just how far you run and how many situps and pushups you do.

If you are running 5 miles or less.
doing 200 pushups and situps or less.

Then you don't really need to take a day off inbetween.

None of those will really tax your muscles.

But if you decided to run 10 miles one day, you might wanna not run the next day, or only run a mile or two.

And if you decided to superset your pushups, where you do 5 or 6 sets of 50, then you might wanna take a day off.

Generally you need a day off, when you work a muscle group to failure. Or you ask it to do alot more work than it is used to having to do.
