What vitamins and or supplements should I take?
as a 28 year old male lookin to lose 20lbs and get in shape, have a 1 yr old so only get to work out at night when he goes to bed. And it has been tough to shed these pounds.

Your best bet is to eat clean and exercise. A multivitamin is a great idea, but will not contribute to weight loss. Once you establish a routine, then supplements could be a good idea. If you are not eating clean, your wasting money on pills. I recommend a fatburner and creatine once you get to that point.
Eating clean - cut the number of simple carbs you eat and focus more on complex carbs and protein rich foods (Chicken, green beans, salads -no dressing-, fruits, veggies, etc.) I would keep 1 day a week as a free day for your sanity! Also if you eat 5-6 small meals versus 3 big meals a day, your metabolism will speed up.
Exercising - Intensive cardio 3x a week for 30 minutes and weightlifting 3x a week work wonders. I recommend bodyforlife.com as a great resource for setting up your routine.
