Am i cursed with small shoulders?!

Question:

Am i cursed with small shoulders?

I've asked this question a couple of times before, but never really gotten a definitive answer. I'm a 18 year old male, and i'm about 5'8. i have a pretty well developed lower body, but i'm not a beefcake or anything. my lower body is slender, but no fat, all muscle. however, it's up my upper body that has me feeling really bad about myself. I'm pretty skinny, so i have trace of a six pack since i don't have much fat. but my shoulders are really small and they droop down, like straight down. This has really affected my self esteem since i don't "fit" well into most clothes. I just want to know how i can lengthen or broaden my shoulders. The length of my shoulders is very small, about 3-4 inches. When i wear a shirt, i feel very self conscious and ashamed of my body. what can i do to remedy this? I've tried arm circles, push ups, but i can't seem to see a visible change. help!

Answers:

I assume at your current state your shoulders are slanting downwards right? You can try to train your back and shoulders workouts in a gym through weightlifting. Broader and thicker back pushes the muscles upwards thus making the shoulder look broader. Training shoulder muscles keep the shoulders in proper posture and prevents it from slanting downwards. It would also be an extra advantage if you train your chests muscles too as it gives extra support and makes your body structure looks more well balanced. Arm circles and push ups only train a few parts of the muscles, what you need to do is to train major parts of the muscles so that you can bulk up and see the major changes. Try looking for a trainer in a gym or people who go to the gym frequently on how to train. I'm sure they will be glad to help.
