I did 100 situps ( full situps not crunches) on Saturday and my stomach still hu!


Question:

I did 100 situps ( full situps not crunches) on Saturday and my stomach still hurts. Help Please?

When i do sit ups again
I really wanted to do them today but my stomach is in pain

Are you new to situps? If so then you're body is just fatigued. You're muscles might be in shock to the new stress. You should only do exercises with 48 -72 hour breaks in between workout days. For me, I get the best results by taking it easy and doing maybe 30 reps, but I'll do 5 or 6 sets. Spreading out your reps is less stress on your back so it should mean less pain but some people are just less sore than others. Also, the surface your on might also be causing problems so try to find a soft mat to work on or even using a machine to tilt you're angle so you're not on the floor. If the pain doesn't go away you are either doing you're reps wrong or you've damaged a spinal nerve (which my sister did).
