How should i muscle up?!

How should i muscle up?

i have what my mother calls a "swimmers body" what that means is that i am fairly lean and toned but not nearly muscular anywhere. i want to gain muscle, mainly in the upper body (abs pecks and arms) but i dont want to be bulging just have some meat on my bones and maybe shave off a little fat. i am 5' 8" and 135-140. what are some basic things i can do to achieve my goals in a relatively short amount of time.

In all seriousness, you will probably keep your build as you gain muscle. And though it's not unheard of, you're probably not going to attain a bodybuilder bodytype, because that's just not how you were built. It's just something you have to accept.
