I'm 19 and can't get an erection when I look at girls, what's wrong with me.?!

Question:

I'm 19 and can't get an erection when I look at girls, what's wrong with me.?

I'm still a virgin, and was raised in a very fundamentalist Christian faith so I was raised that sex was nothing more than lust if it was outside of marriage. I've tried to watch porn but still can't get an erection. It doesn't matter if they are naked, or wearing tight clothes. I really want to be able to have a relationship with a girl like every other guy.

Answers:

Nothing's wrong with you. You are a kind of guy that is aroused by intimacy and closeness instead of thrill and exposure. It's a good thing - I'm the same way.

You don't get turned on just by looking at girls, that's a good thing. You aren't overtly sexual. When you are in a real solid relationship, you'll see that the deeper and closer you become mentally (or the mental/emotional intimacy) will lead to the physical intimacy. You'll get erections and see that they are about being in and giving love to your wife and not just selfishly "getting off". Who do you love in that case? Only yourself.

What you feel can be thought as good because you won't be too forced to become intimate physically before you are committed first, on the inside, before you commit with your body.
