Shaving question.?!

Question:

Shaving question.?

I'm a male and have a personal preference for shaving my pubic hairs. However, whenever I do this a few little red bumps pop up around the area either a few minutes late, an hour, or even the next day. They stay around for a few days until the hair grows back in again. I know this is probably some sort of irritation or something with the new hairs growing in, but I don't want my girlfriend to think that I have herpes or anything lol (I don't...) . Is there anyway I can prevent these skin irritations from rising up? Feedback is much appreciated.

Answers:

Make sure you use a new razor and a good lubricant. If soap isn't doing it for you use a high end shaving cream. Then once you have finished shaving. Towel thoroughly dry and keep the shaved area treated with a quality moisturizer. Another option you might try is to use a hair removal cream like Nair or Veet (available at any drug store) instead. These generally work almost as well, but don't tend to give you the raised shaving bumps.
