Want stories from men who've had vasectomy?

My husband will be getting a vasectomy before our 3rd baby is born this fall, and we'd like to hear from some of you MEN who have had it done...(no offence ladies - want experiences)

we were hoping for details like how long you were sore, how long till back @ work,...how did it feel to you. We've had friends say they'd nenver reccommend it and others who have said it wasn't bad at all and their wives hade to make them rest...

Ok, here is the short version:

Thursday night I shaved my public hairs. Friday, after work, I drove myself to the clinic. The surgery took 15 min. I chatted with the nurse and the doctor the whole time. I rested for about 10 min, then went to my car. I drove to Walgreens, then to Blockbuster video. I think it was about an hour before, I went home, and rested. I think we ordered pizza that night. Saturday, and Sunday, I sat around watching video with my ice pack. I think I barbecued chicken in Sunday, and played backgammon, but that is about it.

Monday I was back to work (I was a security guard).

I never took any pain killer except for aspirin. I was back to having sex by the next weekend. Sure I walked slow for the first three days. I didn’t lift anything heavier than a handful of video tapes, and my brief case.

That was it. Nothing to it. I never had any significant pain. I have no scar. That was 20 years ago. That was the greatest 22nd birthday gift ever.
