Whats is called when you have trouble urinating after ejaculation?

It takes me a few trips and is a little uncomfortable. I try to plan for an empty bladder but sometimes it's not possible. Is this a major/minor/normal health problem?

You got some real crap answers! I don't know the medical term, but essentially your plumbing works like this--when you get a full erection, you have a valve down there some where in your prostate that closes off the bladder from the urethra and thus only cowpers fluid (the clear syrupy stuff) and seminal fluid (ejaculate) will be permitted to flow through the urethra and out the end of your penis. It sounds like your valve is shutting tight, like it should, but not reopening immediately after your erection subsides. You might try to really work at ejaculating all you can, (i,e, don't hold back in any way when you start ejaculating) maybe even do a second round and ejaculate again to see if that helps.

I don't think it is a major health problem, but I'd suggest seeing a urologist as you may have an infection (they can last for ages untreated) or might need some medication. Good luck. Painful bladder probs are not fun. Good luck.
