Question:
Why on some mornings, especially after heavy drinking, is my voice so much deeper?
Some mornings my voice is much lower than normal. More often than not after a big drinking night. But the weird thing is it's not scratchy or rough. It sounds smooth and resonant and my singing ability is much improved. Why is that?
Answers:
During your partying you likely are talking much louder to make yourself heard. By morning, your vocal cords are swollen and tend to vibrate slower, allowing you to hit those low notes.
