How old is too old to get circumcised?!

Question:

How old is too old to get circumcised?

I'm now 30 years old and I want to be circumcised. I've heard there are negative side effects to doing it at an older age. One of them is sexual sensation/orgasm is not as strong. I know two people who have had it done over 30 and one of them hates it now. My other questions are how painful is it and how long is the healing process?

Answers:

Anybody can get circumcised at any age. That's one of the benefits of being uncircumcised; you can choose.

Unlike newborns, you won't go through this much pain:

That's because you can be put to sleep. However, recovery is another matter. I've heard that erections and urination are especially painful in the first two weeks afterwards.

And yeah, think of it seriously. If you don't have any problems now (and if you do; email me from my profile since they're easy to fix), you have a higher chance of not liking it. I have a friend that also did it for looks and he ended up regretting it.

Make sure you educate yourself on the risks and such. I posted the following in another thread, but see if the links/studies are of any help to your research. Best of luck!

The USA is the last advanced nation doing it, but rates have fallen down from over 90% in the 1960s to as low as 21% here in California currently. From CNN:

Circumcision was actually promoted in the USA at first to stop masturbation (in hopes of it being tight enough to require lubes and not have skin to slide since the foreskin is already moist)
