Well, if you're 13, I'm hoping that maybe you just don't know what "hitting on you" really is. I honestly don't want to know the details (EWW), but I would try to think positively. If your dad just passed away (yeah, a year is still recent enough to be defined as "just") then your mom is probably having issues of her own dealing with the loss. When someone loses someone, they have a tendency to try to grab onto things that are around them for fear they will lose them also. She may want to hug and kiss you more because she loves you as a mother is supposed to love you and hates the thought of losing you also. Little does she know, a 13 year old can take it the wrong way and unfortunately it sounds like you have some issues of your own to get over. If you are misunderstanding your mother's actions, it may cause your imagination to run wild (double EWW). If I were you, the best and most healthy thing to do is to talk to your mom and tell her that you're uncomfortable with whatever she is doing. Councelling would definitely help, but more for the loss of your father than perhaps the issue at hand.
