I have been working out alot, is creatine good to take? dangerous?!

I have been working out alot, is creatine good to take? dangerous?

I have been working out and i bought a whey protein powder called "Cyto Gain" has any one taken it? suggest it? and it has 2 grams of creatine per serving, what is creatine and is it safe? oh and when is the best time of day to drink my protein shakes, and how often. thanks!!

Creatine helps the torn up muscles (from working out) to re-wet themselves and heal a little faster, Unfortunatley, it also will make you carry about 5 pounds of water on your body. If you have no heart conditions or kidney/liver conditions, no problem. Protein shakes: 25-50 grams protein for breakfast, lunch, right after working out, and before bed time..best schedule. But, creatine once a day after working out is the most I would do of that stuff..otherwise, you are going to be carrying around far too much water. You will look soft and "squishy." Not a good idea, certainly will not help the "defined look," that is for sure.
