Torn my frenulum?!
Question:
Torn my frenulum?
...and its absolutely killing me. I've moaned to the doc twice and he gives me these useless antibacterial creams. I've read about an operation to get it cut (called a frenuloplasty) but he says no such thing exists.
is he right?

Nope, he's wrong. A frenuloplasty does exist (link 1) but it's not the removal of the frenulum, it makes it looser so it won't tear as easily next time. Frenectomy is the removal of the frenulum (link 2). The other links have some more info as well.
All in all, it sounds like it's time to find another doctor, or a urologist.
