Teenage man boobs - How normal is it in 16 year old boys? When do they go away n!

Question:

Teenage man boobs - How normal is it in 16 year old boys? When do they go away normally or at the latest?

I'm a 16 year old boy, about 5' 11", 190 pounds, not fat at all, just a little baby fat. But anyhow, there is puffy skin tissue around my nipples. How many times does this occur in 16 year olds and at what point do they normally go away? I'm exercising alot everyday for at least 3 hours doing cardio and crap, and I'm seeing results in every other part of my body, but not my chest. I've got very strong pectorals, but it's just the fleshy junk around my nipples. Anyone know from experience or who is a doctor?

Alright, I see that this first wise-*** is going to be a douchebag about it. No sarcastic answers please. If you're not serious, don't post.

138, I absolutely appreciate the sincerity and appreciate your answer. But if you happen to look at this again, how old were you when you got and had them, and when did they go away? I've heard that normally it's around 15, but some go away at 17 or so. I'm willing to give it another year or 2 until I'm 18. But if that doesn't work, surgery will.

Sorry for all the edits, but no, I'm taking no steroids, or drugs. I've heard they can add to the problem.

I know from experience. Screw the rest of these schmucks who want to give you bullshi* answers. It is called gynecomastia. It is basically male breast tissue, due to the fact of too much estrogen in the system. Yes, men have this hormone too. This condition usually occurs around adolescence/puberty and there is no guarantee that it will go away, unfortunately. Many doctors will claim that it will go away after puberty or the latter teenage years, but, again, there is no guarantee. I had it for over two years. From experience, I know that this sucks and is embarassing. And, unfortunately, if you do have health insurance, the stupid health insurance companies will not cover a surgery to have the gynecomastia repaired, as they claim it is a "cosmetic matter." So, you are stuck, unfortunately, with two choices. You can wait it out with the hopes that it will go away. Or, you can elect to have the surgery done, which will cost approximately $3,000-$4,500, as I did. It sucks and costs a grip of cash, but, I felt as if I had no choice. As you can tell with many others' responses, not many people are accepting to this condition, nor intelligent of the issue, and, as I have proven, many many many people in this world are complete a*sholes. So, if you feel that you can live with this, more power to you. But, if you are like me and think about it every single day, you have to get the surgery.

I hope this helped you a lot.
Here are some links if you want more info on this condition.

----To answer your question, I was around 12 or 13 I believe. I elected to have the surgery at 15. Maybe I should have waited, but it sucked pretty bad! Let me put it this way, I would run in my p.e. class with a giant jacket on in 75 degree weather because without it, the wind blowing against me would show my gynecomastia. I really couldn't handle it anymore. It was driving me crazy.
