It's not true. The USA is the last advanced nation doing it to many newborns, though, otherwise other developed nations like Europe and Japan don't.
In fact, in many states, circumcised guys will now be in the minority. It's as low as 20% like in California and such. CNN covered that story. Circumcision was almost universal in the 1960s, but not anymore. It's a procedure that's going away.

And now that it has been proven that circumcision lowers sensitivity and makes masturbation more difficult, I expect it to get even less popular. Uncircumcised guys have the benefit of choosing what they want. Fox News caried that study:
