My chest keeps hurting (the sternum, not the heart), so I lean back and it will !
Question:
My chest keeps hurting (the sternum, not the heart), so I lean back and it will pop. What is that???
Answers:
Most people don't know that there is cartilage there to connect the ribs to the sternum. It's basically a long joint which helps when you need to breathe, bend back or forward, twist, or bend side to side. And just like any joint in your body it can sometimes make a popping noise.(cracking your knuckles) I hasn't been found to hurt you in anyway but I don't suggest trying to "force" it. If you feel like it needs to pop, I would do some sort of exercise that warms you up and makes you breathe hard. Your breathing will make it pop on it's own.
