Quitting Smoking affects sex drive?!

Question:

Quitting Smoking affects sex drive?

Both my boyfriend and i quit smoking about 8 months ago, and since then he seems to have lost his sex drive. Whereas we were thinking that he's have more energy (he is overweight and i have no problems!) he seems to have lost all desire. Is it that he lost interest in me or does nicotine - or the lack of it - has something to do with this? any help will be appreciated since i'm at my wits ends!!

Answers:

I think it must be something else. Sex drive can be adversely affected by poor diet, so make sure he knows to take in as many vitamins and minerals as he needs, and nows how many calories he needs per day to maintain his weight. This will also help him work out how many less calories he needs to take in if he wants to lose weight.
Quitting smoking should really have a positive effect on sex drive, because you're not getting any more of those nasty mood suppressants or horrible libido-killing poisons.
You should talk to him. Did you quit smoking together? Support each other in that? Maybe you could start a new project now to eat healthily and be more active together, if that's the problem.
If it's not, you should still talk to him about it. Stress can also affect sex drive.
Good luck hun and I'm sure it's not a problem he has with you.
