Yes, quite possibly. If the blood supply was cut off to the testicle long enough to kill it, then it would not function and produce spermatozoa. However, testicular torsion usually involves only one testicle. If this is the case, then the other testicle should be functional. Has he had a sperm count done? I would recommend this be done first before any testing is done on you.
