Answers:

Average American adult needs about 1200 calories.

Do crunches or situps every other morning, M-F. Not weekends since the body needs to rest from exercise.

Substitute coffee and beer with green-tea and wine. Green tea should be taken with every meal because it prevents fat from being absorbed (go to any Chinese or Japanese restaurant for proof). It also helps prevent i believe 7 major cancers and water retention. Red wine is full of anti-oxidants to prevent free-radicals and once a day or a month is ok as long as you're currently healthy as a horse or not taking heavy meds.

Substitute olive oil instead of butter for cooking.

Take a Flax seed oil or Fish oil capsule (which is Omega-3 amino acids) once a day. This promotes the good cholesterol and keeps brain alert.

Stir-fry your vegetables in a wee bit olive oil. I prefer oriental combinations.

Cut out the following offenders from your diet (even if it's advertised as low-fat!): Fried anything, junk-food, high-fructose corn syrup (it's in everything), microwaveable anything, vacuum-sealed anything, fast-food restaurants.

Do not eat anything with a bunch of ingredients you can't pronounce. Monotriglycerides, my foot!

Red meat only twice a month/ increase poultry intake. Switch over to fish from red meat slowly so you can develop the habit easier.

Substitute regular noodles (semolina) for wheat or rice-flour noodles. (unless you have a gluten allergy)

Last but not least,
NO MORE SODAS!!!!
They're all made from high-fructose corn syrup + sugar OR artificial sugar!! You're literally drinking sugar syrup every time! That's the equivalent of swallowing several packets of refined sugar!
