What makes a man stronger than a woman?

It has been a general knowledge to all that man is absolutely stronger compared to woman. Why is it so? Is it because of hormones? If it is, what is/are the name of this/these hormone/s?

actually, if you're looking for a single answer, testosterone is a good guess, having more muscle mass ia another good guess, but they are both wrong. the reason men are physically stronger than women is because our blood hemoglobin percentages are higher than women. the more hemoglobin one has, the more oxygen can be picked up and carried by the blood cells throughout the body.
