I've tried everything, it's really really really hard to quit! I just feel dirty when I do it but it feels GREAT to do it.
I'm a week masturbation free and I hope to have quit for real this time!
For one thing, I got in a fight with a great friend of mine and I realized that masturbation is gonna ultimately make me lose her because it takes time from more important things - that's been the biggest one.
Two, get out. If you start to masturbate - LEAVE THE HOUSE. Go anywhere. Just get somewhere you can't masturbate! Call a friend if you can't leave. Anything else but masturbating!
Three, if you start to masturbate in bed at night, I've found Purell hand sanitizer is a good deterrant. No guarantees this is safe, but it works for me. Keep a bottle by your bed at night. When you start to masturbate grab a nice big handful and coat your penis and most importantly your balls with it. It will burn like crazy for a few minutes, especially on the head of your penis and your balls. Long enough that you try to get your mind on anything else! Again, I can't guarantee that's safe because I'm not a doctor, so ask your doctor first. I found this out by accident because I tried some to get rid of a smell down there cuz' I'd been sweating and it burned really really badly and I realized that burning would be perfect when I started to masturbate. Oh, and it does make you smell much nicer down there too :)
Finally, if you're a Christian, pray. Pray that God will release you from the bondage of masturbation.
God can get us through all things, this is a really horrible addiction to have, I know. You're in my prayers,
