Question about Vasectomy test results?!

Question:

Question about Vasectomy test results?

We found out after giving a semen sample that we were suppose to wait 2-3 days from having sex to give a sample to the clinic. We had sex the night before we gave the sample, and when we turned it in they said it was border line to the amount they needed and that they wanted us to give them another sample for accurate results.

The sample we gave them came back negative.
Would the next test come back negative as well?

How would it make a difference by waiting 2-3 days and then giving a sample, rather than having sex the night before and then giving a sample?

Since they said the first sample was negative and we should have waited the 2-3 days from having sex to give a sample, then if we wait the 2-3 days like they say and give another, and there is more to test with, could there be live sperm in there? Or would it be negative again?

Answers:

The sperm ducts are about 1.5” long each. If they were cut approximately in half, then there is still ¾” inch on each side that may contain sperm. They can slowly migrate out, and then mix with his semen. That is shy there are sometimes “surprise” pregnancies in the months that follow a vasectomy.

It is clear that you are hoping that he might still have some sperm left. Your chances are very slim.

I have read a lot of your questions. I really think you should find solace in your current three children. Most of my friends have grown, or teenage kids. They regret having children, or having so many children. Wanting another child is asking for a bigger burden when your children become teenagers.

So many people think having a second, third, or forth child does not increase the burden much because they already have a child, or two. What they don’t know is the burden increases exponentially with each child once they reach about 14. Most any of my friends can attest to this.
