My husband has had a stroke, he is legible but cant focus or walk...will .?
he be able to get back to normal,,, help, I am pretty distroght. Thanks for any help. Btw, he's 61 and got rhumetroid arthritis. I love him so much.
Answers:
It is a long slog but barring complications he should be able to pretty much get back to his old self. Things might not be quite the same as they once were but they should improve. My great-uncle had a stroke around the time I was born, he could never grasp my name and always called me "the little girl" but other than that he was a wonderful man who I remember very fondly (his death was many years later and totally unrelated to the stroke) . Good luck, it must be a hard time but try to stay positive, positive thinking really is a powerful thing.
