I'm uncircumsized and I need some guidance?!

Question:

I'm uncircumsized and I need some guidance?

I'm uncircumsized, and I've read and seen graphics that show that when both circumsized and uncircumsized penises are erect they appear the same because all the foreskin is pulled back. But when I'm erect, for some reason my foreskin won't pull back all the way. Is this a problem?

Answers:

The length of the foreskin is different from guy to guy. In some guys it's so short that it doesn't fully cover the glans (penis head) even when not erect, whereas in other guys there's enough foreskin to cover the glans during an erection. If you're able to easily pull back your foreskin manually during an erection, then you're normal and have nothing to worry about.

If you can't pull back your foreskin all the way during an erection, then you might have a mild case of phimosis (a condition where the foreskin opening is too tight/narrow). There are many ways to resolve this.

If you have phimosis, the first thing you should try are stretching exercises. See link 1 for good and detailed instructions. Do these exercises for a few minutes each day for a few weeks to a month, preferrably right after a shower/bath when the foreskin's most flexible.

If after a month and little/no progress, you might want to apply certain prescription creams to the area to help loosen the foreskin. In one study, these creams are the most cost-effective treatment a doctor can provide (link 2, names of creams in one of the tables). Each of these two treatments can take up to a month for the full effect, but combined they almost always take less time.

In nearly all cases of phimosis those 2 treatments are all that's necessary. In your case there's probably no doubt that they'll work if done properly, so if someone suggests circumcision or surgery you can disregard that comment. See the remaining links for more info on phimosis and good luck with whatever you try (if you have phimosis).
