Confuse about Semen Analysis?!


Question:

Confuse about Semen Analysis?

I'll be going for semen analysis in 2 days time.. the doc advise me to release my 'old' sperm by today so that 'fresh' sperms can be used for the test. I'm am rather confused as I thought that sperm is needed to be stored for @ least 3 days before this procedure? Can someone advise me.. Serious answers please.....

this analysis is done to check if my sperms are 'healthy' so that my wife and I can start ttc.. just wanna make sure everything is alright before we start..


Answers:

It depends on what kind of analysis you are doing. I know that when you go to donate sperm you have to have 3 days of abstinence, but I am not sure about other tests that can be done. The best thing is to contact your doctor and ask him.
